Global campuses
The six sites in the game, their costs, their climate and how to expand.
When your first site is full, it's time to think bigger. The campus map lets you buy new sites around the world.
The sites
| Site | Level | Purchase | Rent | Max. racks | Electricity | Outdoor temp. | Base PUE |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paris 11th France | Tier I | Free | 3.5 $/s | 8 | 0.22 $/kWh | 22 °C | 1.75 |
| La Défense France | Tier II | $16,000 | 24 $/s | 24 | 0.17 $/kWh | 16 °C | 1.42 |
| Reykjanes Iceland | Tier III | $75,000 | 38 $/s | 64 | 0.06 $/kWh | 3 °C | 1.08 |
| Frankfurt Germany | Tier III | $85,000 | 85 $/s | 72 | 0.14 $/kWh | 13 °C | 1.18 |
| Ashburn United States | Tier IV | $110,000 | 145 $/s | 96 | 0.09 $/kWh | 14 °C | 1.14 |
| Tokyo Bay Japan | Tier IV | $145,000 | 165 $/s | 128 | 0.12 $/kWh | 15 °C | 1.12 |
Choosing well
- Electricity price: it weighs on the site's whole lifetime. Iceland is unbeatable.
- Outdoor temperature: a cold climate allows free cooling and a very low PUE.
- Capacity: Ashburn and Tokyo host the largest deployments.
- Latency and submarine cables: some tenants prefer a campus close to their users.
Running several sites
You switch from one campus to another from the map. Each site has its own infrastructure (racks, chillers, electrical capacity) and its own rent. You can migrate your tenants from one site to another.
Going public
With a big enough empire, you can take your company public: massive capital, shares whose price moves, and an achievement reserved for the best architects.
