Clients and SLAs
Contracts, cloud tenants, PaaS add-ons, SLAs, onboarding fees and challenges.
Your racks only really pay off when clients use them.
Hosting contracts
The Contracts window offers clients who rent capacity in exchange for revenue per second. Make sure you have the capacity, power and cooling needed before signing.
Cloud tenants (PaaS)
The Tenants window lists more demanding cloud clients: startups, streaming platforms, AI, finance…
- Deploy a workload on a campus.
- Upgrade its cluster to increase revenue.
- Add PaaS add-ons: multi-zone database, Redis cache, web application firewall (WAF), virtual GPUs.
- Migrate a tenant to another campus (latency, energy cost).
SLAs
Each tenant has an uptime target (SLA), for example 99.9%. If your infrastructure falls below the target (overheating, outage, unresolved incident), the contract switches to “SLA breached” and you pay penalties every second.
Before signing a mega-tenant, make sure you have redundancy: N+1 chillers, batteries and generators.
Onboarding fees and challenges
The biggest clients charge onboarding fees, and timed challenges are offered to you regularly: reach a number of racks, a power level, a PUE or some traffic before the countdown ends. Success: bonus and XP. Failure: penalty and lost reputation.
